Background:
Olabanji Aladejana is a young and vibrant researcher who currently lectures at the Department of Remote Sensing
and Geoscience Information System, Federal University of Technology, Akure. He is also a consultant for the Ondo
State Government of Nigeria on several forestry, water resources, and other environmental management projects. His research interests are centred around the utilization of earth observation data and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to resolve pressing environmental challenges. He has written and won project proposals relating to agriculture, water resources, use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and agribusiness development within the donor sector. He is a recipient of the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship, USAID sponsored Youth Mapper Fellowship and several academic and research grants.
